Wynwood, Miami. January 2009. This fantastical rendering was just next door to the Boxi piece below.
It’s clearly a close cousin of this piece from last year’s Primary Flight exhibition in Miami: if anyone recognizes the artist, please, enlighten me.

Another one for Wynwood. Suspicious characters lurking at corners, industrial galleries, and this amazing piece by Boxi.
Thank you, Melissa, for pointing out this Wooster Collective interview with the artist. (You’ll have to do a search; it’s from December 12, 2008.)

An out-of-business storefront becomes the perfect spot for a sprawling mural along N. Miami Ave. (Keep scrolling for close-ups.)

This piece was in a lot behind a rusty fence; if there hadn’t been a gap larger than the camera I never would have gotten this shot.

cops and robbers, wynwood-style. we found these in a lot along north miami avenue while on a scouting mission in the area. once again melissa proved herself able to simultaneously manage driving and left-side of the road recon. it probably helped that the car didn’t have a roof.
